I founded Gayle's Greek Gourmet in January of 2024,1 hour after I asked in a local community forum about interest in Greek food. We did a brief test kitchen at the former Small Block Brewery before stepping back to write the many required documents. We secured the rental of the wonderful VIHA-certified kitchen at Providence Farm and began cooking there in late September of 2024.
We currently sell through Cowichan Milk Company, Cow-Op, South Island Farm Hub, and Sweet Meadows Market. We are ready to expand into other merchants.
We also have regular Greek Cooking Classes, typically on the second weekend of the month, and intend to do pop-up events in the future.
