We'll visit three unique local spots - celebrating history, indulging in a sweet treat, and supporting an incredible community cause. ? Stop 1 - 10:30 AM Shawnigan Lake Museum 1775 Shawnigan Mill Bay Road Explore the museum's expanded and beautifully curated space, showcasing the rich stories of the Shawnigan community. ? Stop 2 - 11:30 AM West Coast Cones 1750 Shawnigan Mill Bay Road Cool down with a delicious cone from this beloved ice cream shop. A little taste of summer ice cream is available for purchase. ? Stop 3 - 12:00 PM Camp Shawnigan - Easter Seals BC/Yukon 2180 Shawnigan Lake Road Get a behind-the-scenes tour of this remarkable camp for children and youth with disabilities. Learn about Easter Seals? $25 million campaign to build a brand-new, fully accessible facility, and see their recently completed dock designed to enable all campers to enjoy the water safely. After the tour, enjoy a barbecue lunch generously hosted by the Easter Seals team. How to Join: This Chamber on Tour is free and open to Chamber members and guests. Chamber River Float with The Tube Shack Aug 11
Grab your swimsuits and eco-friendly sunscreen?it?s time to float! We?re heading out for a relaxing river float, Tube Shack style, on Monday, August 11, with a 12:30 p.m. check-in and a 1:00 p.m. launch. Expect about 2?3 hours of easygoing adventure, drifting along the Cowichan River before wrapping up at Little Beach, where the shuttle will take us back to town.
