DESCRIPTION:invite you to my home on August 20th at 7:00 to share some dessert\, coffee and tea and to hear from Coline about her plan to bring the Karnibo family to the Cowichan Valley to join the other Syrian families that have been welcomed here and integrated into our community. Coline is working with the Cowichan Intercultural Society to ensure that she knows the full process and commitment required to successfully bring this family. Essentially\, she is looking for four families to commit to join her as the sponsoring families and for as many of us to contribute what we can financially\, through our own pockets or our own skills at fundraising\, and through our networks to bring the Karnibo's out of six years in a refugee camp. Imagine your children growing up in that reality. Know that even a small contribution when added to many other small contributions can change the lives of this family and particularly\, the three young children. Please read the letter and then RSVP so that Coline and I can plan the treats. There is no obligation. There is only presence.
