About Us
The Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre is run by the Cowichan Wooden Boat Society, whose mission is to preserve our coast’s maritime heritage and wooden boat culture for present and future generations. The Maritime Centre is a “living museum”. In addition to historical exhibits and displays, the facility boasts a full workshop, a fleet of rowboats available for member use, a marine library of over 2000 books, a 90 metre heritage pier, an active marine ways, and a children's toy boat building booth.
