Grant Writing with Jennifer Barnes van Elk

Jennifer Barnes van Elk of Inkwell Grant Seeking and Professional Writing, and the Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association, presents strategies for successful grant writing. Jennifer Barnes van Elk is a professional grant seeker and writer based in the Cowichan Valley. In addition to her independent work through Inkwell, she works for the Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association as Development Officer and joins Rick Juliusson on the team at Free Range Consulting. Through her work in the social profit sector, Jenn has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant funds. This presentation shares "lessons from the road" that may not be found in those grant-writing handbooks. The session will help participants understand how strategic grant-seeking can add value to their organization.
